slaying the enemy.

Procrastination is a force of nature.

It’s impersonal and it’s universal.

It was probably my biggest enemy during my earlier writing days.

Oh, the pain of getting up early and reading psychology books for material.

The worst part is? This procrastination bred and started effecting more areas of my life — like my person self care habits.

We’ll call it “resistance” from now on.

Resistance is the thing that stops you from pursuing any delayed gratification activity.

It’s the thing that stops the young writer from sitting down and cranking out his novel.

It’s the thing that stops the student from reading his books.

It’s the thing that opposes the great spiritual calling you have towards your work, if you do have it.

By all means, Resistance is mans greatest enemy.

The interesting thing is, the greater you’re pulled towards a calling, task or purpose, the more resistance you will feel.

What’s even more interesting?

Resistance comes in so, so many different forms:

- Rationalization
- Fundamentalism
- Lust
- Procrastination (most common)
- Narcissism
- Nihilism
- Plain unhappiness

And what’s EVEN MORE INTERESTING?

These are all internal.

All of these side effects of “Resistance” are all reflections of ourselves.

And it’s a big task for resistance to make it feel like it’s not being caused internally — that it’s from a parent, source of work, etc.

But truthfully, it’s just a mirror looking into our unhealthy mental and spiritual landscape.

But there’s one hope.

One beacon of light.

And that’s that resistance is beatable.

Procrastination is beatable.

You don’t have to live your life in the modern misery — being shackled by the struggles you face.

You can live free, you can live creatively, you can live well.

You can destroy procrastination, and destroy resistance.

How?

Turning pro.

We’ll get into that soon.

But for now, I need you to do something.

~~~ ACTION STEP ~~~
Define your resistance. What are you not working on that you should be working on? See your own resistance as your unique monster within you looking to destroy all attempts at creativity and growth. Define it perfectly. And get ready to destroy it.
Powers to you,
