THE ISSUE

Philosophy has one issue.

The only issue with philosophy is this:

It’s promoting deep, useless thinking instead of productive, and proactive action.

There are many “philosophers”, especially modern day “teachers”, that live up to the first idea.

Docile, unprepared, and inactive.

In ancient times, there was one school of thought that defied this.

Stoicism.

The stoics were real DO-ers.

Marcus Aurelius was an emperor.

Seneca was a playwright.

Chrysippus was a runner.

And many more great minds that were also great activists.

The point is, that no matter what philosophical subsection we choose to study and follow, we should always strive to apply our wisdom and insights to ourselves and our community.

To grow and thrive together, not waste time together.

“Philosophy was never what happened in the classroom. It was a set of lessons from the battlefield of life.” - Ryan Holiday
