i almost hired a ghostwriter

Confession time.

A great email ghostwriter on X reached out to write me an email for free.

I accepted; and once received, the email was:

• Concise

• Intriguing

• Actionable

Everything needed for a good newsletter.

But I noticed something.

Something that made me not want to send out the email.

Something that would make a damn good topic for another email. ;)

It’s the mistake most ghostwriters make; that you might’ve made as well.

It acted like you were stupid.

There are 5 levels of content awareness.

1 - Unaware: They don’t know about you or their problem.

2- Problem Aware: They know they have a problem that needs solving

3 - Solution Aware: They know the problem and they know the solution.

4 - Product Aware: They know the problem, the solution, and what you can offer to solve the problem.

5 - Most Aware: They know the problem, the solution, your product, and are ready to buy.

The email in question hit levels 1-3.

Good.. for social media.

Social media is top funnel content.

X, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.

You should be aiming to garner as much attention as possible and funnel people into your email list.

You don’t do this through addressing deep issues. You do this through simple, digestible and shareable content that resonates with you and your reader.

Complexity gets you killed.

Your emails should be hitting levels 3-5.

That way you can sell to your reader AND talk about deeper topics.
